St. Jude PLAY LIVE 2026 kickoff!

Share

It's that time of year YET AGAIN, where we raise a li'l bit of money for St Jude Children's Research Hospital. I'm so happy to be again raising money for such a great cause.

This year, we're setting the theme of "comfort" - games I like to play to relax, chill out and take me back to when I was a wee hackerette, using my Casio My Magic Diary to change channels at family parties, going to computer expos (yes, this was a thing!) and only cared about getting As on spelling tests. What a time it was!

For me, those games tend to be management sims and 3/4ths perspective games: Two Point's a great incarnation of Theme Hospital, RollerCoaster Tycoon, and maybe we'll squeeze in some of the classic CRPGs I adored: Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, and Neverwinter Nights. Friends of the channel know I'm also a huge fan of Animal Crossing, and New Horizons' has had a bunch of updates lately, so I might set things up.

We'll also do some retired boxes on HTB, because I need write-up content for this here blog, and with Hack Smarter coming out with labs and that range, I might ask Tyler about streaming some of that.

We were supposed to kick off earlier in the month, but some circumstances made us unable to. Kick off should be on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026. Can't wait to see you then! If you're unable to catch the streams and still wish to donate, you can do so here: https://tilt.fyi/Tlq63u84Hu

A bit about St Jude Children's Research Hospital:
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Our purpose is clear: Finding cures. Saving children.®”

Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — so they can focus on helping their child live.

St. Jude has helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate in the U.S. from 20% in 1962 to more than 80% today. Thanks to generous donors like you, St. Jude can give our doctors and researchers the tools and technology they need to make the next groundbreaking discovery.

Every child deserves a chance to live
their best life and celebrate every moment. When you support St. Jude, you can help make cures possible for kids with cancer. Together, we can save more lives.

Treatments developed at St. Jude have helped push the U.S. childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80%. Yet, around the world, about 1 in 5 will survive. That’s why we’re helping make lifesaving treatments available to more children in more places — because where they live shouldn’t determine if they live.

At St. Jude, we believe that all children should be given the quality care that they deserve. Because the majority of St. Jude funding comes from generous donors, we have the freedom to focus on what matters most — saving kids regardless of their financial situation.

When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was largely considered incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate in the U.S. from 20% to more than 80%, and we won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
